I began working in the water distribution and wastewater collection system industry in 1980 for Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation District. Over the years, we’ve expanded and currently perform preventative and emergency services for five (5) additional water and sanitation districts. I am currently Operations Supervisor and direct six (6) operations people in maintaining the water distribution and collection systems. I am a certified class IV operator in Distribution and Collection, as well as in backflow prevention and pesticide application. I am a member of many organizations including AWWA, WEF, APWA, NFPA, and CoWARN. Recently, I was appointed as Co-Chair for the Front Range Standards Committee.

I was in Utilities Project Management with the City of Boulder for 26 years, and am now retired doing special projects part-time. I have designed and managed the capital improvement water distribution program for undersized and corroded mains, developed water utility technical specification and construction standards.

Holly writes, edits, and updates the Water and Wastewater Line Extension and Service Standards for Colorado Springs Utilities. She researches, tests, and approves pipe and fitting materials for use in the water and wastewater systems. Holly writes material specifications for our Materials Management section, which order and warehouse the water and wastewater materials. Items must be ordered per the specifications. She also investigates material failures and negotiates resolution of material issues.
